| Due to the nature
and weight of natural stones we have a minimum delivery order
quantity of lb250.00 plus VAT. This can be a combination of
tiles and/or adhesives, grouts, sealants etc. There is no
minimum order quantity when customers make their own collections
from our yard. |
| All slates are hand split and therefore
will have variations in size, colour and thickness. This is
not a defect and is normal and part of the nature of natural
stone. |
| If you require
a product with minimal variation we suggest a machine calibrated
lightly riven slate such as the Brazilian range instead of a
riven slate which will have slightly more variation |
| Every effort is made to accurately
show the colours of the natural stones. Each tile is unique
and as such there may be variations in colour and texture, we
recommend that prior to fixing, all tiles should be laid out
and then mixed to create the desired effect. Once the tiles
have been installed they will be deemed to be accepted and we
cannot be held responsible for any colour or shading variations. |
| We recommend that you
order minimum 10% extra tiles for transport breakage, awkward
cuts, as per industry norm for the tiling industry. At least
15% extra should be ordered if your room is an awkward shape. |
| We recommend that you
keep several extra tiles as spares in case of accidents or future
renovation work |
| If you do not agree
to order 10% extra please inform us immediately as we may not
be able to process your order. |
| Please Note : The term "Rustic"
in the description means that the slate is heavily riven giving
a more textured farmhouse effect. It will also have occasional
rust markings hence the name "Rustic". Do not order
these slates if you are looking for a smoother more uniform
effect. |
| Please note samples are to
show colour and texture only. Actual tiles received may be a
different thickness. A 300 x 300 tile may be a nominal 12mm
and as the size increases so will the thickness, a 900 x 600
tile will need to be a minimum 20 mm nominal to be strong enough.
If you have a thickness requirement this must be made clear
prior to placing the order. |

solid level surface (not sloped) outside the property |

any addition costs for labour etc. If this is not suitable you
may refuse a late delivery and the haulage company will contact
you to arrange re-delivery at a more convenient time. We cannot
be held responsible for any consequential losses that may be
incurred from late delivery, (such as tillers time). We therefore
do strongly recommend that you order any goods for delivery
at least 2 days in advance to allow for any unforeseen events
that may delay delivery. |
| All breakages must be reported
in writing within 5 working days of receipt of goods |
Customers are advised to
check the consignment as soon as possible after delivery to
ensure the correct goods have been delivered, any errors must
be reported within 5 working days of delivery. The tiles must
not be sealed or laid. We regret we are unable to accept any
claims if the tiles have been used. It is therefore recommended
that customers check all consignments to ensure the correct
size and colour tiles have been sent. |
| If the goods arrived in a visibly
damaged condition, customers must note this on the delivery
receipt next to their signature, otherwise this may prejudice
any claim made by the customer at a later date. |
| Returns: Due to the nature
of natural stone tiles we regret we are unable to accept any
returns for goods that have been ordered and delivered correctly.
We would therefore advise customers to measure carefully prior
to placing any orders. Any cancelled orders will only be accepted
at the managers discretion |
Cancelled orders:
If you wish to cancel an order, please advise us immediately.
If the order has not been packed there will usually not be
a charge for cancellation. If the order has been processed
and dispatched, any cancellations will only be accepted at
the managers discretion. If the cancellation is accepted,
you will have to pay the original delivery charge and an additional
return collection charge and also a restocking charge (of
not less than 25% of the goods value) to cover labour, packing
and then unpacking the tiles checking each tiles for damage
in transit and then return the tiles to stock. |
If you have a specific requirement
for your project, it is your responsibility to make us aware
of this, and provide us in writing with the detailed technical
specifications and we will then confirm if it is possible
and of any additional costs. We cannot be held responsible
if you have not made us aware such requirements.
We would ask that you not order such over the telephone,
but to arrange a visit to our Chesterfield warehouse to
check actual stock for suitability and to avoid disappointment
& costs.
|
| Not wishing to cause offence but
if you are looking for a tile without any variations in colour,
texture or thickness, we would suggest you should consider a
manufactured product such as ceramic or porcelain, rather than
a natural stone to avoid disapointment and costs. |
| All goods sold are subject to our
terms and conditions of sale a copy of which is available on
request |
